Job Description

Inbound Sales & New Customer Representative - Pest & Wildlife Services Critter Control of Boston - 2.8 Waltham, MA Job Details Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid training Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Computer operation Phone communication Client inquiry handling Attention to detail Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description Company Overview Critter Control is a leading wildlife and pest control company dedicated to protecting people, property, and wildlife. Since 1983, we have pioneered innovative animal and pest control removal solutions and established ourselves as a trusted name in the industry, setting high standards for humane and effective wildlife management. We Need Your Help Help Greater Boston homeowners solve stressful pest and wildlife problems — and turn their first call into a great customer experience. Be the first helpful voice our new customers hear. Critter Control of Greater Boston is looking for a friendly, confident, and organized person to handle inquiries from prospective customers about both pest control and wildlife management services. This is primarily an inbound sales and customer service role, not traditional cold calling. You will listen carefully, ask the right questions, explain how we can help, and guide customers toward an inspection, treatment, or service appointment. Because callers may be worried, frustrated, or dealing with an urgent pest or wildlife problem, a calm, reassuring, and professional approach matters as much as sales ability. No pest or wildlife experience is required. We will train you on common pest and wildlife problems, our services, and how to explain the right next steps. What You Will Do Answer incoming calls from prospective customers who need help with pest control or wildlife management problems. Respond promptly and professionally to new-customer emails and text messages. Ask questions to understand the customer's concerns, property, pest or wildlife issue, and service needs. Explain our inspection, treatment, exclusion, and service processes clearly and confidently. Schedule inspections, treatments, and service appointments for qualified customers. Prepare and send job estimates, then follow up on outstanding estimates and unbooked leads. Set up new customers on appropriate one-time, recurring, or ongoing pest and wildlife service programs. Accurately enter customer information, notes, appointments, and follow-up tasks in our system. Work toward measurable goals for response time, booked appointments, follow-up, and sales conversion. You May Be a Great Fit If You Enjoy speaking with people and can build trust quickly over the phone. Are comfortable discussing prices, asking for the appointment, and following up without being pushy. Communicate clearly and professionally by phone, email, and text. Stay organized while managing multiple conversations, appointments, estimates, and follow-up tasks. Are dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work well as part of a team. Are comfortable learning new computer systems and following established procedures. Are curious and willing to learn about common pests, wildlife, homes, properties, and the services we provide. Experience Helpful, but not required: experience in customer service, inside sales, appointment setting, call centers, home services, pest control, wildlife services, or another phone-based position. We are willing to train the right person who brings strong communication skills, reliability, and a positive attitude. How Success Will Be Measured Prompt, professional responses to new-customer inquiries. Appointments booked and qualified leads converted into customers. Consistent follow-up on open estimates and unscheduled inquiries. Accurate customer records and clear communication with the field and office teams. A helpful, honest, and reassuring experience for every prospective customer — whether they are calling about pests or wildlife.
