AMES, Inc About Us AMES, Inc. is a second-generation manufacturer's representative. The company was established in 1957 under the name K.F. McQuilkin Company. In 1973, the name was changed to AMES, Inc. (Associated Mechanical Equipment Suppliers) and a second entity, MESSCO was formed as a service shop and warranty repair station, primarily to serve AMES, Inc. Within a couple years MESSCO expanded into a fabrication shop for electrical panels and water booster systems. In March 1988, MESSCO merged with AMES, Inc. trading as

amesinc.com Objectives The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing customers, identifying new opportunities, and following up on potential leads in assigned markets and territories. The OSR will provide detailed information on various products and services offered by the company. If you have prior experience in outside sales and/or a desire to expand your career, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities Scheduling appointments and meeting with existing customers in order to review products and determine potential opportunities on a daily basis Provide sales quotes to customers Maintain quote follow-up Conduct sales presentations Schedule seminars presenting our products and services Provide Customers with competitive pricing while striving to provide great customer service. Update customers with product releases, modifications, and changes Attend department factory training, conferences and trade shows Entertain Customers and Vendors Always portray the company in a professional and positive manner Maintain accurate records of all pricing and sales Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures Qualifications The successful candidate should process a want and willingness to learn; be self-motivated; and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree a plus Demonstrate ability to work independently; with little or no supervision Ability to prospect new accounts Effective time management and organizational skills Demonstrate good decision-making skills, problem solving and conflict resolution abilities, cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations Ability to work well with owners and all levels of management and personnel Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills Strong computer skills and understanding of spreadsheet software.
