Heavy Equipment Sales Representative
Job Description
Heavy Equipment Sales Representative Know iron and know how to sell? We sell used heavy equipment to buyers in 30+ countries, and we're hiring a Heavy Equipment Sales Representative who wants to earn $85,000
•150,000+ and grow into a leadership role. About Zadoon Zadoon is a family-owned heavy equipment remarketing and sales company based in Crofton, MD, and one of the leading independent dealers of heavy construction equipment in the country. Since 2007 we've bought, sold, rented, and auctioned used equipment for customers in more than 30 countries, including Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi, John Deere, and more. Zadoon is scaling, and this role is part of the foundation we're building to get there. Role Summary The Heavy Equipment Sales Representative turns Zadoon's inventory into closed deals and builds a lasting book of business. You own the sale from first contact to signed and paid, and the relationship with your accounts long after. You'll get inbound calls and leads, and you'll build your own pipeline through prospecting. This is an in-person role at our Crofton, MD yard, with occasional in-person buyer visits. Core Responsibilities Sales Lead Response Answer every call and log it as a lead in Salesforce. Zero missed calls. Work every new email or SMS lead within 2 business hours across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and phone until it converts or dies. Working Open Opportunities Contact every open opportunity every 5-7 days, hot buyers more often. Every call has a purpose — know the buyer's timeline, budget, fleet, and needs. Create Want-to-Buy (WTBs) Opportunities Create a WTB only once the buyer confirms authority, financing, and timeline. Keep it current and pitch matching units as they arrive; close it after 30 days with no match or re-engagement. Pipeline Accuracy Keep leads, opportunities, and conversation notes current in Salesforce for reliable forecasting. Proactive Outreach Stay on top of owned and consigned inventory, and work the outreach list with our team as units come ready to market. Account Grading Grade accounts A, B, or C by fit and potential, and check in more often on the best ones. Update as things change. Relationship Building Build rapport fast and lasting relationships — the goal is buyers who come back to Zadoon specifically. Understand a Machine's Value Know a machine's value to the market, to Zadoon, and to the buyer before you quote. Use it as leverage, and let the buyer make the first offer. Negotiation & Deal Closing Read the buyer — end users, OEM dealers, and brokers negotiate differently. Create urgency, use our financing to close, and loop in logistics for inspections and site visits. Acquisition Lead Generation Flag surplus and trade-in opportunities to an acquisition rep as they come up. The Support You Get You sell. We handle the rest. You run your own deals. You negotiate and close down to the bottom price set on each unit. Only a price below that needs logged approval. Leads come to you. You get inbound calls, leads from our online listings, and marketing campaign responses that route straight to reps based on how urgent they are. Outreach is already built. New inventory gets an outreach list of former buyers and leads, so you're not starting from a blank page. Pricing is backed by data. A dedicated team keeps prices current using auction comps, retail comps, and our own sales history. Listings are handled. Our marketing team keeps every unit on all major platforms with accurate details, photos, and price drops. The yard preps the machines. Inventory is inspected with a written condition summary, then cleaned, photographed, and filmed before it goes to market. Logistics is covered. Our logistics coordinator handles buyer inspections, freight quotes, and shipping once a deal is ready to move. We help you close. We offer in-house financing and transportation. Room to Grow We're building our sales division, and we want someone who grows with it. The path to VP of Sales is earned by hitting your numbers and showing you can lead. What We're Looking For Heavy equipment experience Sales experience Driven and hungry. You want to earn big, and you want to move up. The ability and desire to lead Pay and Benefits Total pay: $85,000
