Job Description

Automotive Sales & Finance Specialist - Used Car Dealership Car Finders of Maryland is looking for one highly capable Automotive Sales & Finance Specialist to handle the customer-facing sales process from start to finish. This is not a management position and we are not looking for someone who simply waits for walk-in customers. We want someone experienced, self-directed, organized, and capable of taking ownership of a deal from the initial lead through financing, paperwork, and vehicle delivery. You will be the primary salesperson at the dealership, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working independently and knows how to follow up, close deals, work with lenders, and keep the sales process moving. Responsibilities Respond to internet, phone, and walk-in leads Schedule appointments and consistently follow up with prospective customers Show vehicles and conduct test drives Structure and negotiate vehicle deals Collect credit applications and customer documentation Submit deals to lenders and communicate with finance companies Work through lender approvals, stipulations, down payments, and deal conditions Present available warranty, GAP, and other finance products Coordinate purchase paperwork and vehicle delivery Maintain accurate customer and deal records Follow up with customers after delivery Help ensure vehicles, listings, and the sales area remain organized and presentable Assist with reasonable dealership administrative duties during slower periods Help open and operate the dealership during scheduled hours What We're Looking For We are primarily looking for competence and production .
The right person should be:
Strong at sales and closing Comfortable discussing financing and credit with customers Experienced with automotive lenders or capable of learning lender systems quickly Persistent with lead follow-up Organized with paperwork and customer information Professional and confident with customers Able to work independently without constant supervision Reliable and punctual Comfortable handling multiple parts of a transaction Motivated by performance-based compensation Prior automotive sales experience is strongly preferred. Used-car dealership experience, subprime financing experience, F&I exposure, or lender experience is a major plus. Compensation Guaranteed weekly pay plus commission. Compensation is structured to provide a minimum level of guaranteed pay for dealership coverage and administrative responsibilities while providing significant commission upside for sales performance. Commission is based on dealership gross generated from completed vehicle transactions, with a minimum commission per vehicle. Uncapped earning potential. A strong salesperson who can consistently generate deals and protect dealership gross should earn significantly more than the guaranteed weekly amount. Schedule Full-time position. Weekend availability is required. Exact schedule will be discussed during the interview. Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Strong communication skills Basic computer proficiency Ability to professionally communicate by phone, text, and email Automotive sales experience preferred About Car Finders of Maryland Car Finders of Maryland is an independent used-car dealership focused on providing quality vehicles, financing options, and a straightforward buying experience. Because this will initially be a small sales team, this position offers substantially more responsibility and earning opportunity than a traditional high-volume dealership position where employees only handle one portion of the transaction. We are looking for someone who wants to sell cars, make money, and take ownership of the entire customer experience.
