Consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas. Meet with Account Managers daily.
Work with the stores systems.
Ensure quotes are available for proper billing in the shippers office.
Responsible for sales to assigned accounts:
Understand pricing policies and clearly communicate any acceptance deadlines on quotations subject to later acceptance.
Maintain familiarity with yard inventory and surplus items.
Prepare estimates and/or quotations.
Maintain a communication record for all existing and prospective contractor customers assigned:
Stay informed about competitor pricing.
Maintain satisfactory knowledge of the products expected to sell:
Know current pricing and inventory levels.
Handle minor complaints (refer major issues to a manager).Understand profit, gross profit dollars, and margin.
Sell integrated products.
Work toward achieving gross margin goals.
Wear company clothing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience in sales in the Lumber and Building Materials industry preferred.
Carry 60# over a distance exceeding 12 feet.
Push 60# in a wheeled cart.
Bend, stoop, or squat to floor level repeatedly.
Stand for long periods of time.
Sit for long periods of time.
Reach overhead to grasp materials.

Responsible for managing specific accounts assigned to designated Account Managers. Provides support to Account Managers by maintaining and growing a profitable client base. Ensures exceptional customer service through accurate order placement, timely follow-up, and precise quoting.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
. Able to communicate with customers and employees, using verbal and written skills. Strong math skills with the ability to accurately read orders, follow instructions, and complete required forms. Solid people skills to enable the building of successful work relationships with operational people as well as sales support.DESIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. Post secondary education preferred.Experience in sales in the Lumber and Building Materials industry preferred.
