Client Care & Business Development Associate Experienced Caregiver Wanted | Career Growth Opportunity in
Senior Care Marketing Company:
A Better Solution in Home Care -
Detroit Metro Location:
Brighton, Michigan and surrounding Detroit Metro communities
Job Type:
Full-Time |
Field and Office Compensation:
$48,000-$55,000 annually, plus performance-based incentives Are You a Great Caregiver With the Ambition to Build a Career in Senior Care? At A Better Solution in Home Care, we are looking for an exceptional caregiver who wants to do more than provide care. We want someone who is ambitious, resourceful, proactive, and excited about learning how to grow a successful senior care business. This is a unique career opportunity that starts with learning our business from the ground up and is designed to transition into a senior care marketing and business development role after approximately 120 days of successful training . We are looking for someone who loves working with seniors, builds outstanding client relationships, solves problems without waiting to be told, and is always willing to step in when help is needed. Our goal is to develop someone who understands every aspect of our business and can eventually grow and manage their own territory. Your First 120
Days:
Learn the Business From End to End You will receive hands-on training and exposure to all major aspects of our home care business, including: Direct caregiving and understanding client needs. Client intake, assessments, onboarding, and care planning. Caregiver recruitment, scheduling, and coordination. Managing staffing shortages and last-minute call-offs. Client and family communication, satisfaction, and retention. Caregiver performance and field support. Home care documentation, compliance, and billing processes. Referral partner relationships, marketing, and client acquisition. Understanding how the agency operates, grows, and delivers exceptional service. You will work closely with our leadership and care coordination team to develop a complete understanding of the business. What It Takes to Be Successful 1. Be Eager to Step In and Provide Care When our care coordinators cannot find an available caregiver, you are expected to be more than willing to personally fill in and provide hands-on care, consistent with your qualifications and established coverage arrangements. This is a core responsibility of the role, including after transitioning into marketing. We believe leaders in senior care should never lose their willingness to care for clients directly. 2. Be Proactive and Solve Problems Anticipate challenges before they become emergencies. Identify problems, take initiative, develop solutions, and follow through until issues are resolved. 3. Don't Wait to Be Told What to Do We are looking for a self-starter who recognizes what needs attention and acts independently within their responsibilities. If you require constant direction to take action, this position is not the right fit. 4. Deliver Exceptional Client Satisfaction Build strong relationships with all types of clients and families. Understand their expectations, manage concerns professionally, and consistently strive to deliver an outstanding client experience. 5. Take Ownership of Outcomes Don't simply pass problems to someone else. Take responsibility for resolving issues, communicate proactively, and follow through on commitments. 6. Be Professional and Stay Above Workplace Drama Remain calm under pressure, address disagreements respectfully, avoid gossip, and focus on solutions. We value people who build strong teams and reduce unnecessary conflict. 7. Be Ambitious About Growth We want someone who is motivated to learn, enjoys meeting people, and is excited about building referral relationships, generating new business, and eventually managing a territory. After 120
Days:
Transition Into Marketing & Business Development Following successful completion of training, the position is intended to transition primarily toward marketing and business development.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building relationships with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, senior living communities, assisted living facilities, and other referral partners. Visiting referral sources and developing new business opportunities. Generating qualified client referrals and supporting the conversion of inquiries into new clients. Developing and executing a territory marketing plan. Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and referral partners. Working with care coordinators to ensure newly acquired clients receive exceptional service. Tracking referrals, client acquisition, and territory growth. Continuing to provide direct caregiving coverage when necessary under established coverage expectations. As you demonstrate success, you may have the opportunity to take greater ownership of an assigned territory, including client relationships, referral development, and business growth. Qualifications Required Minimum two years of hands-on senior caregiving experience, or comparable relevant experience. Genuine passion for working with seniors and their families. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving ability. Willingness to provide direct caregiving coverage when needed. Ability to work with diverse client personalities and family situations. Professionalism, emotional maturity, and a collaborative attitude. Strong interest in learning business development, marketing, and sales. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout the service area. Ability to meet applicable background screening, training, and client care requirements. Professional references who can verify reliability, initiative, and work ethic. Preferred CNA certification or equivalent caregiver training. Experience as a Lead Caregiver, Field Supervisor, or Care Coordinator. Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or memory care. Experience in customer service, community outreach, sales, or relationship management. Familiarity with home care scheduling and client management systems. What We Offer Annual compensation of $48,000-$55,000, plus performance-based incentives. Structured 120-day training across the home care business. Opportunity to transition into marketing and business development. Direct mentorship from agency leadership. Exposure to client acquisition, referral relationships, and territory development. Potential career growth into a Territory Marketing or Business Development Manager role. A growing organization that values initiative, accountability, and results. The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families. How to Apply Please submit your resume and answer the following: "Describe a situation where you took initiative to solve a difficult problem without being asked. What did you do, and what was the outcome?" Finalists will be asked to provide professional references who can speak to their reliability, initiative, problem-solving skills, and ability to build relationships. If you're an outstanding caregiver who wants to become a successful leader in senior care marketing and business development, we'd love to hear from you.
