Ready to build a career on the water? Trade the cubicle for lakefront properties, boats, docks, and some of the best waterfront views in Northern Michigan. Elk Rapids Marina is looking for a motivated, organized, customer-focused Dock & Hoist Sales Representative to join our growing team. This is not a stand-behind-the-counter-and-wait-for-the-phone-to-ring sales job. You will work directly with waterfront homeowners, boat owners, contractors, and property managers to create dock and hoist solutions that fit their boats, properties, and lifestyles.

What You Will Do:
You will own the customer relationship from the first conversation through the final installation. Respond quickly and professionally to incoming leads Build relationships with new and existing customers Conduct waterfront site visits Recommend dock, hoist, PWC port, and accessory solutions Measure sites and gather information for accurate proposals Prepare estimates and quotes Follow up consistently and close sales Coordinate deposits, orders, and customer documentation Maintain an organized and active sales pipeline Develop new business instead of relying solely on incoming leads Build relationships with contractors, landscapers, property managers, real estate professionals, and other referral partners Stay current on products, competitors, pricing, and waterfront trends Participate in local events, boat shows, and promotional opportunities Make It Easy for the
Customer:
Buying a dock or hoist can be confusing. Your job is to make it simple.

You will listen to what the customer needs, recommend the right solution, and coordinate with our operations and installation teams to make the process seamless. The customer makes one call. We take care of the rest.
Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for someone who is driven, personable, organized, accountable, and ready to sell. You do not need to know everything about docks and hoists on day one. We will provide the training and product knowledge. What we cannot teach as easily is initiative, follow-through, professionalism, and the desire to win.
Our ideal candidate has:
Strong communication and people skills A sales-oriented, self-motivated mindset Excellent follow-up habits Strong organization and attention to detail Confidence meeting customers at their homes and waterfront properties Ability to listen and recommend the right solution Ability to manage multiple customers, quotes, orders, and follow-ups Comfort using computers and learning new software Ability to work independently while being part of a larger team A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for site visits Previous marine, dock and hoist, construction, powersports, automotive, RV, equipment, or consultative sales experience is a plus, but it is not required. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
