General Management Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a growing transportation and equipment leasing company in the search for a driven Branch Sales Leader to lead new business development in the Brownstown, Michigan territory. This is a true hunter sales role, focused on prospecting, building relationships with decision-makers, presenting solutions, negotiating, and closing new accounts. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time in the field while partnering closely with branch operations to ensure a seamless customer experience from first contact through delivery. The company is committed to developing its sales team through a structured training program covering consultative selling, negotiation, leadership development, and product applications, along with direct mentorship from experienced branch leaders and senior management.

What You'll Do:

Build and execute a territory plan focused on high-value target accounts and key decision-makers.

Generate new business through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking, and referrals.

Maintain a healthy, measurable sales pipeline and consistently advance opportunities.

Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.

Conduct discovery visits and needs assessments with fleet managers, operations leaders, and business owners.

Recommend trailer solutions based on customer needs, utilization, and fleet strategy.

Deliver presentations and proposals while negotiating pricing and terms to protect profitability.

Close new accounts and identify opportunities to grow existing customer relationships.

Partner with branch operations to ensure equipment readiness and a smooth customer handoff.

Communicate customer requirements clearly and help resolve post-sale issues.

Maintain accurate CRM records and sales documentation.

Keep leadership informed on pipeline health, market activity, and major opportunities.

Meet or exceed assigned revenue and new-business targets.

What You'll Bring:

Proven outside sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets, ideally in transportation, logistics, leasing, or a related B2B industry.

Hunter mentality with a demonstrated willingness to cold call, prospect, and work through rejection to build a pipeline.

Strong discovery and consultative selling skills with the ability to develop solutions around customer needs.

Strong negotiation and closing abilities.

Business acumen with the ability to read reports, manage toward a budget, and use data to prioritize opportunities.

Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with branch operations and internal teams.

Basic operational instincts and willingness to work around equipment and yard environments.

High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred. Job # 2437 Share
