Job Summary Inside / Outside Sales Representative - Electrical Supply Excel Lighting & Electrical Supply Company, Inc. is looking for a motivated Inside / Outside Sales Representative to help grow our customer base while supporting our existing electrical contractors and commercial customers. This is a hybrid sales position. The right candidate will spend time inside the branch handling quotes, orders, phone calls, emails, and customer needs, while also getting out into the field to visit contractors, job sites, and prospective customers.
Responsibilities:
Handle inbound sales calls, emails, quotes, and customer orders Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and availability Prepare quotes and follow up with customers Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts Prospect and develop new contractor and commercial accounts Visit customers, contractor offices, and active job sites Make outbound sales calls and follow up on leads Identify new sales opportunities and help grow overall account sales Work closely with purchasing, warehouse, and delivery teams to make sure customer orders are completed properly Help customers source electrical materials, lighting, switchgear, breakers, panels, generators, wire, conduit, controls, and related products Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally Maintain regular contact with assigned accounts and actively work to increase salesPreferred Qualifications:
Electrical distribution, electrical contractor, wholesale, or electrical sales experience preferred Knowledge of electrical supplies and the electrical construction industry Strong sales and relationship-building skills Comfortable making outbound calls and visiting customers in person Experience preparing quotes and processing orders Strong phone, email, and face-to-face communication skills Self-motivated and able to work independently Ability to develop new business, not just service existing accounts Organized and able to manage multiple customer requests at once Valid driver's license High school diploma or GED This is not strictly a counter-sales position. We are looking for someone who can take care of customers inside the branch while also actively going into the field, building relationships, and bringing in new business.Job Type:
Full-Time Duties Reach out to potential clients through outbound calls, emails, and other communication channels to generate new sales opportunities Respond promptly and professionally to inbound inquiries from customers seeking product information or support Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-up tasks using CRM software and Microsoft Office tools Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions, resolving issues, and offering tailored solutions Support client onboarding processes by guiding new customers through product features and purchase procedures Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall customer satisfaction Handle cash transactions accurately when necessary, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies Requirements Proven experience in call center sales, customer support, or client services; previous inside sales experience is a plus Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in additional languages are highly desirable Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills for data entry and documentation Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to engage customers effectively over the phone and via digital channels Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts efficiently Ability to problem-solve customer issues quickly while maintaining a positive attitude Technical proficiency in using CRM systems or other sales tools preferred Experience in outbound calling, customer service problem-solving, and maintaining high levels of professionalism in a fast-paced environment Join us as an Inside Sales Representative where your energy fuels our success!
