This role is pivotal in driving new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and promoting comprehensive logistics solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of supply chain management, transportation management systems, and logistics sales strategies. As a key player in our organization, you will contribute to optimizing transportation solutions, fostering long-term partnerships, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective account management and negotiation skills. Duties Develop and execute strategic sales plans to generate new leads and expand existing client accounts within the transportation sector. Engage with prospective clients through inside sales efforts, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking to identify transportation needs. Manage customer relationships by providing tailored logistics solutions that align with their supply chain requirements. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, and EDI platforms to track leads, manage accounts, and facilitate seamless communication. Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service terms with clients and carriers to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive offerings. Coordinate freight dispatching, transportation planning, and carrier sales activities to ensure timely delivery and optimal resource utilization. Maintain accurate data entry related to shipments, pricing structures, and contractual agreements Support lead generation initiatives by identifying market opportunities and developing targeted outreach strategies. Collaborate closely with operations teams to ensure efficient logistics execution and resolve any issues related to freight or carrier services. Skills Proven experience in supply chain management, transportation management, or logistics sales within a B2B environment. Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), 3PL providers, NVOCC operations, and freight forwarding processes. Excellent account management skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships. Skilled in negotiation tactics to secure favorable contracts while maintaining customer satisfaction. Familiarity with transportation planning, dispatching procedures, and carrier sales strategies. Ability to analyze pricing models, freight costs, and supply chain data to optimize logistics solutions. Effective communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders across global markets. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in contract management and logistics coordination.
