This full-time position plays a key role in coordinating group hotel accommodations, meetings, banquets, and special events while supporting overall hotel sales efforts. We are looking for a motivated professional with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences. This role works closely with all hotel departments and partners directly with the Director of Sales to ensure successful event execution from start to finish. Position Overview The Sales & Events Coordinator is responsible for managing event and group sales coordination, preparing contracts and event documentation, communicating with clients, and ensuring seamless execution of meetings and special events. This position will spearhead banquet and meeting space sales while supporting hotel room block coordination and overall sales initiatives. Essential Responsibilities Answer phones and respond to guest and client inquiries in a timely, professional manner Coordinate and manage sales for meeting space, banquet events, weddings, and special events Assist with group hotel room block coordination and reservations Prepare contracts, correspondence, reports, and event documentation accurately and efficiently Generate sales contracts within 24 hours using standard contract templates Prepare rooming lists, cover sheets, and reports related to group bookings and event details Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales on proposals, presentations, and promotional materials Coordinate event details with hotel departments to ensure smooth execution Assist guests and clients with changes, special requests, and event needs Maintain strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and communication Support revenue growth through proactive sales and event coordination efforts Qualifications Guest-service focused with a positive, outgoing personality Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Ability to problem solve and remain calm in fast-paced environments Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently during peak business periods Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and general office software Education & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of hotel, hospitality, sales, catering, event planning, or related experience preferred Previous experience in group sales, banquets, or hotel operations is a plus Language Skills English required Additional language skills are a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry materials as needed Occasional bending, kneeling, and filing Ability to move throughout various hotel departments and event spaces What We Offer Competitive pay Bonus opportunities Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) with company match Free parking Employee meals Hotel discounts Opportunities for growth and advancement within hospitality Why Join Us?
