Customer Sales Representative

Become a trusted expert with Spikes and Houles! We're looking for friendly, knowledgeable team members to help our customers care for their animals, lawns, and gardens. If you enjoy providing great service and working in a hands-on environment, this could be the perfect fit. Candidates need to be 16+. Schedule will include evening (3p-7p) and weekend hours through summer and fall seasons.

What You'll Do:

As a Customer Sales Representative , you'll help customers find solutions that meet their needs, while keeping the store organized and running smoothly.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

Greet customers and recommend products or services that fit their needs. Assist with sales, warranties, and replacement parts. Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately. Stock shelves, rotate inventory, and maintain product displays. Support seasonal merchandising and plant care. Load customer vehicles and promote our carry-out service. Safely handle live chicks and care for outdoor displays. Assist with inventory control, cleaning, and store organization. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

A passion for customer service and a friendly, helpful attitude. Knowledge or interest in animals, animal feed, or lawn and garden care (preferred). Strong communication and listening skills. Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Willingness to be cross-trained in multiple areas of the store.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Ability to move and position objects and equipment as needed. Regular communication with team members and customers.
