Job Description
LaForce has an opening for an Account Manager to sell commercial building products on the Contract side of our business. The primary role of this position is to create relationships with general contractors in the market that will allow us the opportunity to provide our goods and services on their projects. LaForce is a leader in the door, frame, and hardware industry servicing the growing field of commercial construction. Major Responsibilities Meet or exceed sales budget Develop relationships with new clients while maintaining existing client relationships Understand and develop sales techniques that foster relationship selling Diligent bid follow up leading to closing sales Learn how to properly scope a project with a general contractor Research any potential new projects that we have not already bid Visit general contractors to look for projects we are not already bidding Organize daily/weekly activities with a focus in mind that drives face-to-face customer development Develop technical aspects of business that allow you to resolve many field problems and to become a resource for your customers needs Learn LaForce system of doing business Assist with preliminary budgets Develop a thorough understanding of all departments within LaForce and how to utilize each area of expertise Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer needs are met Drive sales growth by overcoming objections and obstacles Attend business development networking events, occasionally on nights/weekends Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years related experience Ability to meet or exceed sales goals Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and demonstrate initiative Strong communication skills and the ability to develop rapport with clients Ability to think strategically and solve problems Strong computer skills Valid driver's license with good driving record and proof of insurance required Benefits LaForce offers great benefits and a fun, professional working environment.
