What You'll Do Own & Expand the

Pipeline:

Proactively prospect, network, and convert high-volume contractor leads into loyal, long-term accounts, partnering with our Credit Department to ensure sound onboarding. Be a Trusted Advisor ("Working Together, Filling Needs"): Cultivate deep, enduring relationships with homebuilders and commercial contractors by delivering timely market updates, commodity pricing trends, and supply chain insights. Technical Sale:

Review project blueprints, specifications, and take-offs to deliver accurate product selections, competitive bids, and seamless project execution—from jobsite measurements to final close.

Drive Operations & Coordination:

Partner with dispatchers, site superintendents, and internal teams to ensure flawless material deliveries while keeping agreements and accepting full accountability.

Lead & Grow:

Mentor sales support personnel, lead client engagement initiatives, and champion creative, continuous operational improvements.

What You Bring Industry Experience:

5+ years of successful, direct sales experience within the building materials, lumber, or structural supply industry.

Proven Portfolio Management:

Demonstrated track record of managing a high-volume contractor account portfolio ($3M+ annual revenue potential preferred).

Technical Acumen:

Advanced proficiency in blueprint reading, architectural spec analysis, structural estimating mathematics, and framing materials/millwork.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

Road-Ready:

Valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, and the ability to travel across the regional territory and navigate active construction sites safely. Why Scherer Bros?
