Duties:
The Robotics Coach/Advisor will provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to students participating in the Spring Lake Park High School Robotics program. This role supports students in developing technical, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while fostering an environment that emphasizes creativity and innovation.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Act as a primary point of contact for the team Organize team meetings and events Assign team roles in coordination with the adult team Mentors Delegate team tasks in coordination with the adult team Mentors Maintain records: student contact information, registration, funds, attendance, etc Ensure team meets deadlines for events and award submissions Works with the team to ensure safety according to the FIRST Safety Manual Maintain a safe and inclusive team environment Transport or set up transportation for students and equipment for events
Preferences:
A BA/BS Degree and MN Teacher License with coaching certificate OR equivalent and previous experience working with high school age students. Previous experience as a advisor.
Qualifications:
A strong background in Scirence or Computer (FCS). Strong work ethic and dedication to furthering the benefits of participation in co-curricular activities. Leadership skills including but not limited to organization, vision, motivation, and conflict resolution. Ability to work with students, parents, staff, and community.
Stipend Detail:
$2,500.00 stipend per schedule C of Athletics and Activities Handbook. Not benefits eligible position.
