Stillwater Middle School Builders Club Advisor (Stillwater Middle School) The Builders Club Advisor provides leadership and supervision for the school's Builders Club, a student-led service organization that promotes leadership, character development, and community service for middle school students. The advisor supports students in planning, organizing, and implementing service projects that benefit the school and community while helping students develop leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Builders Club is a Kiwanis Service Leadership Program designed to help students learn, engage, serve, and lead through meaningful service experiences. Co-Curricular Salary - Class VII - $1,578.00 (annually)
Responsibilities:
Recruit and support student members and officers. Facilitate regular club meetings and leadership activities. Guide students in identifying, planning, and carrying out service projects. Coordinate annual service initiatives such as food drives, Winter Wishes holiday gift drives, and other school and community service events. Support student leadership by helping officers lead meetings, organize committees, and manage club activities. Collaborate with school staff, families, community organizations, and local Kiwanis partners as appropriate. Ensure club activities align with district policies and school expectations. Maintain communication regarding club events, schedules, and volunteer opportunities.
Qualifications:
Current district employee preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. Interest in student leadership development, service learning, and community engagement. Ability to supervise students outside the regular school day as needed.
Time Commitment:
Approximately 2 meetings per month, plus additional time to coordinate service projects and special events throughout the school year.
