Inside Sales Professional Company and Position Summary:
Zipp Express is a family-owned, full-service logistics provider specializing in courier, brokerage, and warehousing solutions. We offer flexible delivery services tailored to specific vehicle requirements (car, van straight truck, tractor, flat bed) and timeframe. Additionally we have a 50,000 square foot warehouse where we cross-dock, and provide short-term and long-term storage options for customers. Zipp Express is also a budding national brokerage firm. With a brokerage authority of 6-years, a long-established name in the logistics field and loyal customer relationships, Zipp is poised to succeed on this front. The Inside Sales Specialist is a critical, revenue-driving role that is driven by a methodical, metrics-driven outreach and remote relationship building in the logistics industry. The position serves as the engine to our sales pipeline and is heavily driven by targeted marketing campaigns directed at current customers, dormant accounts and new prospects. The core of this outreach strategy revolves around enrolling prospects into targeted HubSpot sequences, typically leveraging personalized introductory emails followed by strategic follow -up phone calls and social media touches based on how the prospect engages.
The ultimate goals are two-fold:
Sell delivery opportunities to customers. Set appointments for outside sales reps to close delivery opportunities. There is a certain measure of database clean up that may need to be done to capitalize on the current and dormant customer lists.
Job Responsibilities and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who loves the fast-paced nature of freight and has experience in the logistics industry is sales and numbers driven Is organized and methodical in their work approach Enjoys working in a CRM, specifically Hubspot Enjoys engaging customers/prospect via phone, email and social media Is excited about reaching deadlines and goals Enjoys an individual and group sales approach We are seeking a high-energy, methodical, and tech-savvy Inside Sales Is confident Is driven by success in this role and searches to find the best approach to success by making individual changes or working with the team to make content changes to the message Is professional, flexible, resilient and has grit This role will work independently to close sales as well as work with our Customer Service Team to facilitate delivery orders with existing customers and work with our Outside Sales Team to partner on sales opportunities that require in person meetings. Documenting all activity in Hubspot is critical and should include all calls, emails, referrals to CSRs and outside sales people and company leadership. Daily, weekly and monthly reports will be produced and evaluated. Compensation will include a modest base salary and incentive pay based on achieving specific, measurable performance goals. Performance goals will be based on activities generated by this role. KPIs What You'll Do Solution Selling:
You won't just sell "space on a truck"; you will pitch customized delivery solutions that solve a business's specific logistical bottlenecks.
Precision Quoting:
Use HubSpot to track quote requests and follow up relentlessly on high-intent leads looking for pricing on vans, straight trucks, or 53' trailers.
Account Growth:
Identify "spot quote" customers and convert them into repeat, high-volume contract accounts through methodical follow-ups and social media nurturing.
Multi-Channel Execution:
Execute a high volume of daily activities (calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn outreach) using a structured cadence.
HubSpot Mastery:
Manage and optimize the CRM environment. You will build and maintain automated sequences, workflows, and email templates to ensure no lead is left behind.
Social Selling:
Leverage social media platforms to identify stakeholders, join conversations, and book discovery meetings.
Data-Driven Optimization:
Monitor personal performance metrics (open rates, connect rates, meeting sets) to constantly A/B test messaging and timing.
Relationship Building:
Transition cold prospects into warm leads by quickly establishing rapport and identifying core pain points through consultative conversation.
