Sales Representative - Vermeer Great Plains 100% Employee-Owned | Heavy Equipment Sales At Vermeer Great Plains, we're more than a dealership—we're a 100% employee-owned company built on hard work, teamwork, and customer commitment. As an authorized distributor for Vermeer equipment, we support customers across Kansas, Oklahoma, and Western Missouri in industries like tree care, landscaping, wood waste, recycling, underground construction, and mining. Train. Motivate. Retain. We're looking for a driven Sales Representative who thrives on building strong customer relationships, has hands-on equipment experience, and is motivated to deliver real value in the field. What You'll Do Serve as the trusted advisor for customers, providing solutions through equipment, parts, and services. Develop and maintain strong relationships across your territory. Stay current on Vermeer equipment, finance programs, promotions, and industry trends. Demonstrate and train customers on safe and effective equipment operation. Manage customer information in CDK and keep sales operations running smoothly. Represent VGP professionally while traveling extensively throughout your territory.
What It Takes Experience:
3+ years in heavy equipment sales plus hands-on operating/mechanic experience.Technical Skills:
Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, and diagnostic systems.People Skills:
Ability to build trust, adapt to different environments, and provide top-notch service.Physical Requirements:
Comfortable with outdoor work, lifting up to 50 lbs, and travel 75%+ of the time.Credentials:
