Responsibilities Engage with customers in retail and inside sales environments to understand their flooring needs and provide tailored solutions. Conduct product demonstrations, including samples and layout sketches using tools like SketchUp or CAD software to help clients visualize their projects. Build strong customer relationships through effective communication, upselling premium products, and offering expert advice on renovation and remodeling processes. Manage the entire sales cycle from initial consultation to deal closing, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Assist clients with design considerations such as layout planning, lighting integration, and fixture selection to enhance their space's aesthetic appeal. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions using CRM systems and POS platforms; process transactions accurately while handling cash or credit payments. Collaborate with the team on marketing initiatives, product displays, stock management, and promotional events to boost store traffic and sales. Qualifications Proven experience in outside or inside sales within retail, construction, or remodeling industries; familiarity with flooring or interior design is a plus. Strong negotiation skills combined with the ability to close deals confidently while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Technical proficiency in SketchUp, CAD, Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and POS software to support layout design and client management. Knowledge of renovation processes, construction materials, maintenance practices, and lighting or fixture design enhances your effectiveness. Multilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging diverse customer bases effectively. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—are essential for client consultations and team collaboration. Organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring accuracy in documentation and stock levels. We also offer cabinets, countertop, window treatments and plumbing fixtures. We do a lot of custom bathroom remodels. We help our clients with design of their projects. This is more than just a sales job. This position requires a lot of hands on and being very detailed.

Pay:

$17.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
