Position Summary We are looking for a motivated, self-driven Outside Sales Representative to grow and manage our contractor and builder customer base in the surrounding region. This is a road-based role — you'll spend the majority of your time in the field, building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing the kind of responsive, knowledgeable service that keeps customers coming back. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with residential and commercial contractors, builders, remodelers, and developers Prospect for new accounts through cold calls, referrals, job site visits, and community networking Prepare and present quotes for lumber, millwork, windows, doors, roofing, and other building materials Coordinate with our inside sales team and yard staff to ensure accurate, timely order fulfillment Follow up on bids and quotes to close sales and win projects Monitor customer accounts, address concerns promptly, and resolve issues to maintain satisfaction Stay current on product offerings, pricing, and industry trends to serve as a knowledgeable resource for customers Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, and pipeline activity Qualifications 2+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in building materials, lumber, or a related construction trade Working knowledge of lumber, framing materials, millwork, or general building products strongly preferred Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close sales Strong communication and presentation skills Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational habits Valid driver's license Proficiency with basic computer tools (email, spreadsheets, CRM or order entry systems) Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage or salary, commensurate with experience Health and dental insurance Paid time off and holidays Employee discount on store merchandise Opportunities for advancement
