Position Summary:
Performs various administrative functions and customer service-related duties designed to maintain and enhance customer relations. Will assist in representing the steel fabrication capabilities of Steffes in the selling and promotion of products. Supports all company departments to ensure that proper communication is maintained.Steffes Core Values:

Entry and communication of sales orders, job creations, shippers, and invoices. Maintain Kanban boards. Monitor customer specific websites for order retrieval and shipment confirmation. Manage sales activity and customer forecasting for each account. Establish and maintain cell metrics. Research debit and credit memos and coordinate actions with finance department. Understand bill of materials, routings, inventory, and adjustments in ERP system. Acts as internal project coordinator on customer jobs, as assigned. Coordinate resolution of customer problems/complaints through non-conformance reports. Follow up with production and purchasing on product availability/shortages for current and overdue orders. Maintain outside warehouse inventory, including shipping, tracking and restocking. Follows current shipping processes and provides correct documentation unique to each country when shipping internationally. Build and maintain good customer relationships. Document relevant customer correspondence for future reference using MS Outlook journaling. Will assist sales with cold calls, sales promotions, customer satisfaction surveys, sales calls, customer inquiries, and customer visits, as assigned. Quoting for existing products. Coordinate service work orders. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in collaborative manner with customers, suppliers, co-workers, and management. Job Requirements/Qualifications:
High School Diploma orGED 6-24
months of demonstrated customer service or related field experience. ERP experience, preferred. Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Outlook Patient, well organized, and service oriented Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette Basic math and reading skills.- OR•An acceptable combination of education and experience
Functional & Cognitive Requirements:
This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree. Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 20 pounds. Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs. Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and bending. Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities.
