Full-Time About Sugarpop Candy Shops Sugarpop Candy Shops is a fun, fast-paced retail destination specializing in premium candy, frozen yogurt, ice cream, and sweet treats. We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and energetic Sales Lead to oversee the daily operations of our candy shop in Deal, New Jersey. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving sales performance, developing high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional customer experiences across all stores. Position Summary The Sales Lead will lead and support the Deal, NJ location, ensuring consistency in operations, customer service, inventory management, staffing, and financial performance. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of one (1) year of hands-on experience serving ice cream and/or frozen yogurt in a retail, dessert shop, or food service environment. This is a mandatory requirement and applicants who do not meet this qualification will not be considered.is a proven retail or food service leader who thrives in a customer-focused environment and has direct experience serving ice cream and/or frozen yogurt. Key Responsibilities Store Operations & Performance Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and consistent performance. Implement and maintain operational standards, policies, and procedures. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, labor, inventory, and customer satisfaction, and take corrective action when necessary. Evaluate cleanliness, merchandising, product presentation, and operational compliance. Drive execution of company initiatives, promotions, and seasonal programs. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop store teams. Provide ongoing leadership, mentoring, and performance management. Foster a positive, collaborative culture focused on accountability, engagement, and results. Schedule and lead regular meetings to communicate goals, updates, and expectations. Ensure all team members are properly trained in customer service, food handling, and operational procedures. Customer Experience Ensure every guest receives a welcoming, memorable, and enjoyable experience. Address and resolve escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain high standards of customer engagement, product sampling, and store presentation. Promote a culture of exceptional hospitality and service. Inventory & Product Management Assists owners in overseeing inventory levels, ordering processes, and product rotation to minimize waste and maximize profitability. Assists owners with suppliers and vendors to ensure product quality and timely deliveries. Monitor sales trends and collaborate on merchandising strategies, promotions, and seasonal offerings. Ensure proper handling and storage of frozen yogurt, ice cream, candy, and related products. Compliance & Safety Ensure store complies with health department regulations, food safety standards, and company policies. Promote a safe working environment for employees and customers. Qualifications Required Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience serving ice cream and/or frozen yogurt in a retail or food service environment. Proven track record of leading teams, driving sales growth, and improving operational performance. Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management abilities. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must have reliable transportation.
