Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an exceptional HVAC Home Comfort Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Home Comfort Specialist identifies the prospective customer's HVAC needs using a consultative approach and sells the appropriate equipment to meet the customer's needs. During the process the Home Comfort Specialist develops and presents multiple system solutions (best, better, and good) and prepares and delivers a planned sales presentation. The Home Comfort Specialist uses Salesforce CRM to manage opportunities and account information, and completes all required documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for achieving/exceeding all assigned goals for o Revenue o Gross Profit o Close Rate o Others as defined in annual planning process Analyzes HVAC system situation and determines the customer's requirements Actively prospects for new opportunities. The Home Comfort Specialist is expected to close a minimum of 1 self-generated installation job per month Reworks old "not sold" opportunities to regenerate interest Prepares and delivers sales presentations Stays current on available financing options and incorporates them into the presentation Updates CRM system with appropriate appointment, sales stage, quote and correspondence information Prepares contracts and or quotes using the Star Group price book in Salesforce Obtains signatures, secures down payments, and submits information to the installation department in a timely manner Adheres to credit policies for all equipment transactions. Provides diagram layout and design of HVAC/generator systems along with load calculations where required Prepares installation documentation required to complete each job folder Attends scheduled service tech meetings (minimum of 1 per month) and works closely with service technicians to encourage and facilitate the technician referral process. Markets other services, wherever possible Follows up with all customers after installation is complete in order to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that exist or remain Keeps abreast of any technological developments impacting the industry Attends product and sales training workshops as required Represents Company at industry events, trade shows and community gatherings to promote products and services. Stay current on industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain competitive edge. Willingness and ability to travel within assigned territory as needed. Understands the importance of being available when optimal for customers and follows calendar availability process as defined (see attached). Understands and complies with federal, state, local, and municipal codes and requirements Carries out additional duties, as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Possesses ability to quickly build rapport with prospects and earn trust Ability to stand, stoop, kneel and go up and down stairs and ladders and have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed Able to exercise good judgement by making well-reasoned decisions or recommendations Ability to work as a team with internal partners Ability to use computers, tablets and related technology efficiently Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Must possess reliable transportation to conduct responsibilities, and travel at varying times of day including evenings
Recommended Education and Experience:
High school diploma or Tech School degree Solid background in the HVAC industry preferred Proven sales experience
Control Responsibilities:
Demonstrates character, integrity and ethical values Understands the policies regarding acceptable behavior and what to do when they encounters improper behavior Follows ethical guidelines in dealing with employees, prospects and customers.

$100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
