POSITION OVERVIEW
The Commercial Business Development Officer / Relationship Manager is responsible for driving growth in core deposits and treasury management services through a combination of referrals, self-sourced opportunities, and partnership with the Commercial Lending team. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and securing new commercial banking relationships while maintaining a strong network of referral sources. Success in this position will be measured by the ability to generate leads, convert new client opportunities, and contribute to overall commercial banking revenue and growth objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Business Development Officer (BDO), lead growth by identifying, prospecting, and acquiring new commercial banking clients with annual revenues exceeding $75MM
Drive business development and outbound sales efforts to generate new deposits, lending opportunities, and treasury management relationships
Leverage market intelligence to identify untapped opportunities and refine outreach strategies
Develop and execute a strategic prospecting plan to build and sustain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
Partner with Marketing to implement go-to-market strategies and develop targeted client outreach initiatives
Cultivate leads, drive new revenue, and collaborate across the commercial bank, including Beacon Wealth Management, Commercial Lending, Branch teams, and Provident Protection Plus
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in a commercial banking environment in relationship management or comparable sales role, with a strong focus on new client acquisition and business development
Demonstrated success in business development and client acquisition
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Strong understanding of commercial banking products and services, including credit and treasury management
Strong credit and risk analysis skills within a commercial lending environment
Proven ability to build and manage client relationships, with demonstrated business development and negotiation capabilities
Strong presentation skills, with the ability to deliver comprehensive and customized client solutions
Ability to monitor and analyze market and industry trends to anticipate client needs and proactively deliver solutions
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. This position involves travel to customers and property locations.

Pay Details:
$132,200 - $151,600 annually
Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance. Team members accrue paid time-off (PTO), receive Holiday (PTO) and are eligible to participate in the bank's Health and Wellness benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision Plans, Flexible and Health Savings Accounts, and a 401(k) Retirement Plan.
