ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Keep abreast of incoming inventory, features, accessories, etc., etc., and how they benefit customers Deliver vehicles to customers. The delivery process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product Know and understand equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to the customer Know and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales Acquire product knowledge to ensure a complete presentation of the vehicles for sale Use dealership sales techniques Prospect using dealership records and cold calling techniques to provide adequate sales opportunities and meet objectives Become skilled at dealing with people in sales situations Adhere to dealer policies regarding prospecting, product presentation, counseling, demonstration drive, closing, F&I, delivery, and follow-up Other duties assigned- Our sales consultants come from a variety of backgrounds and industries.
