Job Description

Buffalo Materials Handling (BMH) is an established provider of material handling equipment, service, and warehouse solutions. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a sales coordinator. This position is ideal for someone with prior office or sales coordinator experience who is looking for a stable, long-term role within a growing company.
General Summary:
The Sales Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the sales team and ensuring the smooth execution of daily sales operations. This position is responsible for coordinating customer orders, communicating with vendors and customers, tracking order progress, and assisting with administrative and marketing-related tasks. The Sales Coordinator serves as a central point of communication between sales, customers, vendors, logistics providers, and internal departments to help maintain efficient workflow and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter and process customer orders accurately and efficiently. Create and manage purchase orders with vendors. Monitor and follow up on open orders, backorders, and delivery schedules. Communicate with the sales team and customers regarding order status. Coordinate freight and logistics arrangements with shipping providers as needed. Maintain accurate sales records, reports, and related documentation. Assist with the preparation of sales reports, sales data, and customer information. Create OSHA certification certificates and wallet cards. Assist with creating, printing, and distributing sales flyers, promotional materials, and announcements. Maintain inventory of sales literature, marketing materials, and office supplies. Support the sales team with administrative tasks and customer follow-up. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfillment. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous customer service, sales support, or administrative experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and software platforms simultaneously. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Professional and courteous communication with customers, vendors, and coworkers. Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical and Work Requirements Primarily office-based work environment. Ability to sit, type, and work on a computer for extended periods. Occasional lifting of office or marketing materials up to 25 pounds may be required.
