Position Overview:
EDU Trips is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Business Development Specialist to help expand our partnerships with K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and educational organizations. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and promoting customized educational travel experiences that inspire learning beyond the classroom. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication and sales skills who enjoys networking, developing strategic partnerships, and helping educators create unforgettable travel experiences for their students.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities with schools, colleges, universities, and educational organizations. Build and maintain relationships with teachers, administrators, faculty members, student organizations, and decision-makers. Conduct outreach through phone calls, email campaigns, networking, referrals, conferences, and virtual meetings. Present EDU Trips' educational travel programs and customize travel solutions based on client needs. Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through contract execution. Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals. Collaborate with the operations and travel planning teams to ensure a seamless client experience. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and forecasts within the company's CRM system. Stay informed on industry trends, educational travel opportunities, and competitor offerings. Represent EDU Trips professionally at conferences, trade shows, and networking events as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience. Ability to commute and work in-person in Nyack, NY. Experience working within education, travel, hospitality, or service industries is a plus. Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills. Proven ability to build relationships and close new business. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM platforms.
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$54,000-$64,000 annually
Commission:
