Job Description

Overview We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to help grow our customer base and increase revenue for our U.S. trucking company. In this role, you will be responsible for finding new customers who need transportation services, building strong business relationships, and helping secure profitable loads for our trucks. The ideal candidate understands the transportation industry, is confident in sales and negotiation, and can turn new opportunities into long-term customer accounts. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to play a direct role in the growth of a trucking company and help expand its presence in the U.S. market. Responsibilities Identify and reach out to potential customers who need trucking and transportation services Generate new business through cold calling, networking, lead follow-up, and market research Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers, brokers, and other logistics partners Develop new customer accounts and maintain existing ones Negotiate rates and service terms in line with company goals and profitability Work to secure loads and maintain consistent business for company trucks Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction Keep accurate records of customer communication, opportunities, and account activity in the CRM system Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities Prepare quotes, proposals, and sales reports as needed Meet or exceed business development goals and contribute to company growth Qualifications Previous experience in trucking, transportation, logistics sales, or business development preferred Strong understanding of the U.S. trucking industry Experience with customer acquisition, account management, and rate negotiation Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to identify profitable opportunities and develop long-term customer partnerships Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple leads or accounts Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Self-motivated and able to work independently while coordinating with internal teams College education is a plus, but not required for candidates with relevant experience
