Job Description
Rapidly growing defense manufacturing company looking to add to its sales department. The Inside Sales and Customer Service Representative position at PDI Ground Support Systems and KWD Aircraft Support Equipment (member companies of The PDI Group) provides a critical role in customer interface, and is part of a team responsible for providing a variety of services, solutions, support, and information in a manner that builds trust, confidence, and long term business. From a service perspective, this position is the primary internal customer contact point for service and information about products, prices, availability, and product uses. This position provides support for customers located in over 45 countries throughout the world including, but not limited to, the development of pricing and preparation of quotations, processing orders and providing technical information. The ability to comprehend basic math concepts and principles is a must , as this position requires preparing quotes based on analyzing various data. Searching government websites for potential solicitations and new business opportunities are required. The ability to communicate timely with customers is crucial in ensuring customer confidence levels remain high. Administratively, this position is responsible for initiating and coordinating various organizational duties within the Sales department. Responsibilities may include organizing domestic and international customer meeting arrangements, preparing reports and financial and sales data, assisting in developing customer presentations, and building customer relations. Constantly communicating internally with members of the Production team (i.e. Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality) is expected. Additionally, strong computer, research and organizational skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff are necessary. Only high integrity, values-oriented candidates should apply. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years (5) working experience in a similarly held position (i.e. inside sales and defense contracting) and have experience operating within an Enterprise Resource Planning system. A technical background is a plus.
