Position Overview The Business Development Representative is responsible for sourcing qualified sales opportunities by proactively identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with prospective clients; and driving new business growth through proactive prospecting and opportunity creation. This role is responsible for identifying target accounts, engaging key decision-makers, generating qualified sales opportunities, and building a consistent pipeline for the sales organization. Key Responsibilities Prospecting & Opportunity Creation — Primary Focus Proactively identify and target prospective customers that fit our ideal customer profile. Build and maintain a high-quality pipeline through outbound prospecting. Research companies, industries, and key decision-makers to identify potential business needs and opportunities. Execute multi-channel outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels. Develop personalized messaging that captures prospects' attention and creates interest. Initiate conversations with executives, decision-makers, and other key stakeholders. Qualify prospects based on business need, timing, fit, budget, and buying potential. Convert qualified prospects into sales opportunities and schedule meetings for the sales team. Consistently follow up with prospects and develop relationships throughout the early stages of the buying process. Identify new markets, accounts, and prospecting strategies to expand the company's addressable pipeline. Pipeline & CRM Management Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect and activity information in the CRM. Track outreach, conversations, follow-ups, meetings, and opportunity progression. Maintain a disciplined daily and weekly prospecting cadence. Monitor prospecting metrics and continuously improve conversion rates. Provide feedback to sales and marketing regarding prospect responses, market trends, and messaging effectiveness. Collaboration Partner closely with Account Executives and Sales leadership to ensure qualified opportunities are effectively transitioned. Collaborate with Marketing to improve campaigns, messaging, target-account strategies, and lead-generation efforts. Share insights from prospect conversations to help refine the company's go-to-market strategy. Qualifications 1-3+ years of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, or a related role preferred. Demonstrated ability to prospect and generate new business opportunities. Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable making cold calls and conducting proactive outbound outreach. Strong research and organizational skills. Ability to engage effectively with decision-makers and executives. Persistent, resilient, and comfortable with rejection. Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and accountability. Comfortable working with CRM and sales prospecting tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple prospects and follow-up activities simultaneously.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
