An entry-level Business Development Associate at a service-based company finds new clients, generates leads through outreach, and helps pitch intangible offerings like consulting services. This foundational role focuses heavily on market research, and relationship-building. Job Duties Research target industries and companies to find potential service clients. Conduct cold outreach via phone calls, emails, and social media networks. Qualify inbound and outbound leads to see if they fit the service model. Maintain and update the customer relationship management (CRM) database. Assist in drafting client proposals, scopes of work, and slide presentations. Schedule introductory calls and meetings for senior business development managers. Required Skills Clear and confident verbal and written communication. Strong active listening skills to understand client pain points. Good time management and daily organization habits. Basic comfort with data tracking and CRM software. A positive, resilient attitude when facing rejection.
Qualifications Education:
A high school diploma or a bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
0 to 2 years of experience in customer service, retail, or a student leadership role.
