Ports Petroleum Company, Inc. is seeking passionate individuals who have experience in sales and/or the fuel industry. In this role, the sales representative is to prospect, sell, and retain customers with enthusiasm while working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Responsible for new business development via prospecting, quoting, selling, and maintaining relationships Contribute to existing territories of business, as well as develop into new territories Manage relationships with customers through one-on-one visits, phone calls, etc. Responsible for being on the road a minimum of one day per week making sales calls Provide account management to existing customers Develop and maintain prospecting list through CRM systems Work alongside the Credit department on payment needs from customers Contribute to the sourcing team by using spot and contract pricing to determine the best supply options for the trucks over the next 24 hours. This requires one night a week of closing/sourcing in the office. The Sales rep will remain on call for this evening until sales is in the office the following morning. The Sales rep will be supported in the evening by the Sales Manager and VP of Sales remotely. Qualifications Highly motivated, self-starter, with the ability to multitask Ability to work well individually, as well as in a team setting Ability to perform in a fast paced environment Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written Well-developed interpersonal skills as well maintain a professional demeanor Ability to problem solve collaboratively and individually It is key to have a respectful relationship with both other sales team members and transportation team members. The highest ability of productivity and profitability for the company, as well as taking care of the customers' needs, must always stay the center of decision making, which relies on respect and communication between teams.
