Job Description

Inside Sales Representative Metals USA, a steel service center located in Muskogee, OK, has a career opportunity for an Inside Sales Representative. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for managing and growing accounts, generating leads, providing exceptional customer service and satisfaction through effective communication, and closing sales deals by building rapport with customers and resolving concerns and issues promptly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Makes outbound follow-up phone calls to existing customers and emails to cross-sell and up-sell by emphasizing Metals USA products, services, features and benefits. Determines price and delivery charge for sales inquiry then e-mails or faxes it back to the customer. Estimates, and quotes customer projects, then converts opportunities into invoiced sales. Meets and exceeds assigned sales goals for all competitive product lines, while using market-driven leads. Executes customer sales order cancellations and changes then communicates the changes to the affected internal departments. Maintains a current understanding of the market, industry trends and technical developments that influence target accounts Monitors, analyzes, and communicates sales data to contribute to production service schedule. Builds relationships with Outside Sales Representatives, Production Managers, and support staff to ensure quality customer service and customer satisfaction. Collaborates with the Outside Sales Representative to determine strategic approaches for sales. Metals USA offers a competitive starting salary and benefits plus upward mobility professional growth. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management or related field preferred Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen Minimum of two years of industrial sales experience Excellent verbal, written communication, and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook) Ability to calculate proportions, circumference, and volume
Physical Demands:
Occupation requires being sedentary greater than or equal to 80% of the time ( > 7 hours per day) Sitting, standing, hearing, talking, handling/fingering, reach outward, reach above shoulder, walk, climb, squat or kneel, bend Position requires some local travel
Work Environment:
May be exposed to some of the following working conditions. Position works primarily in an office/cubicle environment. Constant Telephone Activity; must have a high comfort level of initiating conversation Moderate noise levels Dust, fumes and airborne particles When travel is required, will be exposed to varying outdoor weather conditions
