Job Description

JobSummaryThe InsideSales- Food ServiceSpecialist is responsible forassistingBaker Distributing growtheFoodservicelinesof business sales by providing sales support, technical support, logistical information, pricing information, product informationand inventory management.

Theultimate goalof this role is toassist with sales efforts within the assignedterritory.

Essential Duties/AccountabilitiesAssist Sales Centers in the support of House AccountsRequest quotes from vendors.

Track orders for timely job site delivery.

Create customer quotes and submittals.

Distribute pricing updates and company specials applicable to the area to the appropriate customers on a consistent basis.

Participate in Baker revitalization initiatives and implement associated action items.

Embrace and assist in Baker/Watsco technology initiatives.

General Sales Center SupportOther duties as assigned.

SkillsStrong negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate on all levels within internal and external groups.

Excellent customer service mindset with the ability to developlong-termrelationshipsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze/interpret dataStrong and creative problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentProactively seeks continuous process and service improvementsMust be proficient in speaking, reading, and understanding English to ensure full compliance with safety standards, training, policies, and procedures.

Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GEDrequired.

Bachelor'sDegreein Businessor related fieldpreferred.

Minimum2-4yearsoperational experience within theFoodservice Industry and product lines associated with refrigeration, beverage, and ice production.

Experiencein sales, operations,purchasingand inventory management.

Strong interpersonalskillsincluding sales, problemsolvingand customerserviceare absolutely required.

Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with skills to multi-taskondifferent levels.

Mustpossessthe attitude of wanting to learn,teachand lead.

Mechanical or Technical backgroundpreferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Proficiencyin Auto Quotespreferred.

Work EnvironmentThe employeeis regularly required towork in a salescenter,anda warehouse.

While performing the duties of this position, employeemaytravel to Company locations and works in salesCenters and other warehouse/storeroom environments.

Physical DemandsMust be able to frequentlylift upto 50 pounds.

The employeefrequentlyis requiredtostandsitorwalk,climb, kneel, crouch, orcrawl.

Ability toutilizea computer keyboard, computer monitor, and telephone for prolonged periods of time.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee may use equipment such as forklifts, palletjacksand other warehouse equipment.
