This role ensures all submissions meet applicable terms, conditions, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications while working closely with management and cross-functional teams. The position also plays a key role ingenerating new business and expanding government accounts by identifying upcoming procurement opportunities, developing relationships with government agencies, pursuing new contracts, and positioning the company for successful awards. The ideal candidate will combine strong attention to detail and knowledge of government procurement with a proactive, results-oriented approach to business development, revenue growth, and customer relationship management. Key Responsibilities Generate new sales opportunities with government clients utilizing company GSA schedule and by Signing up for automatic receipt of all GSA, E-Buy, Fed-Bid and all state and federal sites. Create goals and objectives for targeting government customers to maximize sales growth as in addition to understanding and being able to read Terms and details of bids, especially delivery specifications Able to understand construction design documents, drawings, and specifications as needed. Create and maintain construction and contract documents relative to government/GSA schedule, projects, and contracts. Provide administrative, sales, and follow up support to internal sales and project management teams regarding government/GSA projects and contracts. Serve as a company representative at major industry events, conferences, and/or tradeshows. Promote product knowledge by setting up meetings and offering product demonstrations to government customers. Manage all bids, solicitations, proposals, and quotations related to GSA and government divisions. Be responsible to understand government/GSA 'Terms & Conditions', and any special requirements on bids and solicitations. Work with sales engineering team to review quotes to make sure we are in compliance with regulations.
Requirements:
Strongly preferred: Government/GSA sales or contracting experience, including RFPs, RFQs, procurement processes, bid requests, and government account structures. 1-3 years of experience in government sales, bid coordination, sales operations, proposal writing, or B2B sales, preferably in manufacturing. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field—or equivalent experience. Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CRM, cost proposal, and bid/project management software. Ability to manage multiple bids, projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Proactive, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
