Midnight Blue is still growing after 20 years and we're hiring an experienced Outbound Senior BDR to help us win more 20-100 seat businesses in the SMB (small and mid-sized businesses) market that need reliable IT and serious cybersecurity. If you've successfully built a pipeline for an MSP through cold calling, networking, and consultative discovery, we want to talk. This role is for someone who enjoys outbound, loves building relationships with business owners, and knows how to create urgency around risk, downtime, and security. Excellent opportunity with base salary of $85,000 to $105,000 with expected first year earnings to exceed $135,000. Role Description We're hiring a full-time Senior Business Development Representative (Outbound) - Managed IT & Cybersecurity (MSP) based in the Pittsburgh area. This is an outbound role focused on building a pipeline through cold calling, email/LinkedIn outreach, networking events, and occasional face-to-face meetings. Target clients are typically 20-100 seat SMBs. This role is focused on outbound prospecting and opportunity creation. Daily tasks include targeted prospecting, qualifying leads based on fit and urgency, scheduling meetings, and maintaining detailed records in CRM systems. Qualifications Proven expertise in outbound sales, appointment setting, and lead generation Experience with full sales cycle including developing scope of work and closing business Ability to quickly build rapport with business owners and operational leaders, specifically in the SMB market, defined as 20-200 employees. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships Experience with CRM platforms and sales tracking systems Ability to work effectively in an on-site, team-oriented environment Highly motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills Background with managed IT services, cybersecurity, or technical sales is a plus What You'll Do Identify and target businesses that are a strong fit for managed IT and cybersecurity Execute outbound outreach (cold calling, email, LinkedIn) to generate qualified meetings Follow up with leads from local networking, referrals, and outbound campaigns Qualify prospects based on pain, fit, urgency, and decision-maker access Book and prepare meetings with key stakeholders (owner/COO/CFO/Office Manager) Develop a strong Center of Influence (COI) group to enable quality leads Track activity and results in CRM, maintaining accurate notes and next steps Collaborate with leadership to refine messaging and improve conversion What Success Looks Like Consistently generating qualified meetings every month Creating high-quality opportunities (not just activity) Attending networking events to generate referral sources and direct leads Why Midnight Blue? 21 year track record of high-quality service, solid reputation, and strong customer outcomes Great support team and company culture to be a part of Growing MSP with a modern approach to security and managed IT Clear performance expectations and room to grow Support from technical experts during the sales process
