What You'll Do The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers by managing inbound and outbound communications. This primarily involves responding to incoming calls and emails to process orders, providing updates on inventory and order statuses, and addressing routine customer inquiries and concerns. This also involves proactive outreach through outbound calls to customers with a focus on following up regarding minimum order requirements, truck fill opportunities, and resolving any outstanding issues. You will have a strong understanding of our products and customers' needs to ensure a high level of satisfaction and support. Inside sales plays a key role in maintaining customer relationships and supporting operational efficiency through timely and accurate communication.

Starting Pay Rate:

- Provide best-in-class customer service to the customers of Metrie-BWI, ensuring a seamless and positive experience
- Perform accurate and timely customer order entry
- Analyze sales and margins performance to support achievement of sales goals
- Provide accurate and timely customer quotes
- Respond to customer inquiries with strong product knowledge, lead-times, and programs & services
- Partner with Outside Sales to ensure alignment and consistent customer service
- Participate in monthly & yearly reviews to drive sales, revenue, and attain individual sales goals
- Work within and drive a team environment that builds respect and high performance
- Support and promote a strong safety culture by participating in plant safety walks, identifying potential risks, and promptly communicating concerns to leadership Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma required
- A degree in business, communications, marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience in administration or customer service, or equivalent experience
- A strong relationship builder who enjoys serving as a trusted customer partner
- Skilled in applying sound judgment, flexibility, and problem solving to resolve customer needs
- Comfortable managing both inbound and outbound communication in fast paced, high-volume environments
- Open to feedback and committed to ongoing professional growth
- Clear and professional in both verbal and written communication
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and efficiently
- Able to work independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing needs
- Effectively work cross-functionally with various departments throughout the company
- Able to build strong technical, market, and business aptitude, including product literacy and key points of differentiation; understand target markets and the drivers behind purchasing decisions; maintains a solid grasp of the overall business, marketing materials, and industry terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and other Office tools for efficient communication, reporting, and collaboration.
