Corporate Office SUMMARY:
The event consultant is responsible for pursuing new business opportunities, responding to inquiries, providing pertinent venue and pricing information, and obtaining signed contracts. Upon receiving a signed contract, the event consultant is then responsible for planning all wedding and/or corporate event details.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Tour clients through all C&J and Partner properties demonstrating knowledge of amenities, culinary packages and event planning offerings. Communicate with clients by telephone and email assisting them as needed. Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction. Update contracts, file notes, and office communications as needed to ensure client expectations are articulated and recorded accurately. Schedule and attend tours, appointments, tastings, and final walk-throughs with clients. Implement organizational and office administration skills to ensure clients are taken care of at all times and files and events remain organized. Communicate with other C&J departments to ensure all teams are up to date on all assigned clients at all times. Actively upsell other services offered by C&J Catering. Network, research and develop relationships with potential and current clients.
Requirements:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
WORK
EXPERIENCE
Special Event planning or culinary sales experience preferred.
SKILLS:
General administrative experience with excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and make company and client-minded decisions.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
Valid Driver's License with a 5-year clean driving record.
LANGUAGE
Complete written and oral knowledge of the English language is required.
RESPONSIBILITY
Building a book of business to meet company sales goals. When coordinating sales with clients, ensure all pricing standards are adhered to.

All materials and information obtained through working with our company may not be given or transferred outside of the company. Violation of confidentiality is grounds for termination.
TRAINING
Any training held is mandatory.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
Must be willing to adjust to last minute changes, engage and assist other departments as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT
Fast paced environment, high noise level, frequent walking, long hours may be required during event days. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
Hours worked are variable due to the nature of the business. Must be able to participate in and/or evaluate events which occur on nights and weekends, as required for business needs.
