Job Description

Position Overview:
Forge Hospitality is looking for an energetic Area Sales Coordinator to join our sales team. This role plays a key role in supporting the sales team by assisting with administrative tasks related to group bookings, events, and catering services. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to start a career in hotel sales and hospitality. The role involves a mix of customer service, event coordination, and sales support, and offers an opportunity to grow within the company.
Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional service to guests, clients, and internal team members. Support the Area Sales Team by preparing group contracts, event documentation, and client communications as directed. Assist in creating Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for catering events and help coordinate event details with clients and the hotel operations team. Handle inquiries and walkins for group and meeting room bookings, ensuring information is passed to the correct sales representative. Help manage group room blocks by entering rooming lists, confirming details with clients, and ensuring the Front Desk team has uptodate information. Follow up on group and event bookings, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and sales systems are uptodate. Help update and maintain marketing materials and hotel collateral. Assist with site tours, promotional activities, sales calls, and customer outreach as needed. Maintain open communication with all hotel departments to ensure smooth coordination of events and bookings. Assist with social media updates and marketing efforts as directed. Perform other administrative tasks as required by the sales team.
Qualifications:
No prior experience required, though a strong interest in sales or hospitality is a plus. Good communication and organizational skills. Comfortable working with computers and learning new software programs. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Friendly, approachable, and a team player.
