Job Description
One of the nation's largest foodservice distribution companies is currently seeking assertive self-starters and career-minded Outside Sales Representatives for the Pittsburgh, PA market to sell the highest quality food service items and other related products to restaurants, hotels, hospitals, schools, and other institutions. Foodservice sales involves selling canned goods, frozen foods, fresh meat, fresh seafood, fresh produce, paper products, chemicals and other staples to our customer base. Your Role as a Sales Representative Sales Representatives for our Company are considered consultants. As a consultant, you will be responsible for finding, growing, and developing current and new customer opportunities. Some opportunities may include proposing new menu ideas, assisting in solving customer problems, researching and sharing industry and market information, encouraging client participation in food shows, introducing customers to company Product Specialists, following through on customer requests for information, and sampling products. You will also be responsible for assisting in the credit management of customers, which involves ensuring customers remain current with their invoices and asking for and collecting payment.
