Outside Sales Representative - Traveling Event Sales Team About Us Astro Vinyl Art is a family-owned business that transforms vintage vinyl records into unique works of art. We create and manufacture our products in-house and sell them online as well as at art, craft, and music events across the region. Our booths are interactive, creative, and designed to create memorable experiences for customers. Position Overview We are seeking an energetic and outgoing Outside Sales Representative to join our traveling event sales team. This role involves representing Astro Vinyl Art at art shows, music festivals, craft fairs, and special events, building relationships with customers, and driving sales. This is primarily a weekend-based position, with most work taking place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Some weekday availability may be needed for event preparation, loading, unloading, or occasional weekday events. This role requires frequent weekend travel, occasional overnight stays, and the ability to work independently at times. The ideal candidate is dependable, confident speaking with customers, comfortable working on the road, and capable of safely driving a large conversion van when needed. Key Responsibilities Travel to events, including occasional overnight trips Set up and tear down event booths, displays, signage, and product tables Represent Astro Vinyl Art in a professional, friendly, and energetic manner Engage with customers, explain products, answer questions, and process sales transactions Achieve or exceed sales goals at events Maintain accurate sales records and handle cash/card transactions responsibly Assist with inventory management, packing, restocking, and vehicle loading/unloading Safely drive a large conversion van to and from events when needed Work independently at certain events or during portions of the event schedule Keep the booth organized, clean, and visually appealing throughout the event Provide feedback on event performance, customer interest, best-selling products, and sales trends Qualifications Sales or customer service experience preferred, especially in retail, events, festivals, or similar environments Excellent communication and people skills Comfortable working primarily on weekends Comfortable traveling for events, including occasional overnight stays Able to work alone at times and make responsible decisions independently Comfortable safely driving a large conversion van Ability to lift and transport event materials up to 75 lbs Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Positive, self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Comfortable handling cash, card transactions, and basic sales tracking Why Join Us?
