Job Description
Overview The Sales & Inventory Specialist supports both front‑of‑house customer service and back‑of‑house inventory operations. This hybrid role ensures customers receive excellent service while the store maintains accurate stock levels, organized storage, and efficient product flow. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance customer interaction with operational responsibilities. Core Job Duties
- Customer Engagement — Greet customers, identify needs, recommend products, and provide knowledgeable assistance to drive sales and satisfaction.
- Sales Transactions — Operate POS systems, process payments, handle returns/exchanges, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
- Product Knowledge — Stay informed on product features, promotions, and inventory availability to support customer decision‑making.
- Merchandising — Stock floor, set up displays, maintain visual standards, and ensure products are presented attractively
- Inventory Tracking — Monitor stock levels, perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory systems
- Receiving & Stocking — Unload shipments, verify quantities, inspect for damage, able to lift 50-100 pounds and label items
- Order Management — Assist with online order fulfillment, store transfers, special orders, and restocking requests
- Reporting — Prepare daily/weekly inventory reports, communicate low‑stock items, and support forecasting needs
- Operational Support — Maintain store cleanliness, assist with opening/closing procedures, and support team goals.
