Job Description and Requirements:
The Architectural Sales Consultant works toward exceeding company sales goals by building and maintaining relationships with architects, builders, and design professionals that drive product specification and repeat business. As a trusted partner throughout the design journey the Architectural Sales Consultant works directly with clients using a consultative approach that guides the client through specification and quoting of architectural solutions that meet the performance requirements and design intent of the project. The Architectural Sales Consultant then collaborates with the Northeast Client Success Team to present a formal proposal to the client. Other responsibilities may be assigned and additional training provided over time. This position is based in either the Mamaroneck, NY or Montclair, NJ showroom with daily travel as needed to client project or office locations. This position reports to the VP of Sales, Northeast Architectural. Responsibilities specific to theArchitectural Sales Consultant:
Develop and maintain a portfolio of architect and builder relationships through proactive outreach, consistent follow-through, and delivery of expert product guidance. Identify new business opportunities within the design and construction community and execute a business development strategy focused on expanding specification share, growing long-term client partnerships and achieving annual sales budgets. Meet with architects, builders, and project stakeholders to understand project scope, performance requirements, and design specifications. Review and interpret architectural plans and blueprints to assess structural, thermal, acoustic, and aesthetic product requirements. Provide product recommendations and unique expert solutions by continuously learning about the architectural products offered through our vendor relationships and showroom displays. Guide clients through the decisions needed to specify products that meet the project requirements. Maintain current, accurate project details, stakeholder information, and status updates in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Ensure all communication is captured. Record all product details, configurations, measurements- , performance specifications, and associated components required to generate a complete and competitive proposal.

Associate:
- Maintain a positive, productive work environment through friendly, respectful relationships with customers & co-workers.
- Report all issues regarding safety, waste, damage, equipment, accidents or customer concerns promptly to a member of Management.
- Inform Inventory Director promptly of suspected inventory shortage.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Prior selling experience in architectural products, windows and doors, or a related building materials category — minimum 3 years
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural plans and construction blueprints
- Proficiency with vendor quoting software and drafting tools
- Deep knowledge of premium window and door products, including performance specifications, materials, and finish options
- Strong interpersonal and consultative selling skills; ability to build lasting relationships with design and construction professionals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated, results driven, organized, detail oriented, approachable, and customer-centric
- Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously across varying stages of the sales cycle
- Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends as requested by clients
