Job Description
About the Role Polaris Business Solutions is looking for a motivated, organized, and professional Business Development Representative (BDR) to support our growing demand for modern business software solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a student, recent graduate, or early-career professional interested in sales, technology, or business consulting. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for organizations exploring Acumatica and the change of an ERP. You are not expected to be a product expert - we provide training, messaging, and an outreach process. Your primary goal is to start conversations, understand basic needs, and schedule qualified meetings for our sales team. What You'll Do
- Conduct outbound calls and follow-ups using a structured, easy-to-follow script
- Connect with business professionals who have expressed interest in learning about ERP solutions
- Ask discovery questions to understand current systems and business challenges
- Schedule introductory meetings for our sales team (your main success metric)
- Log activities and notes in our CRM system
- Participate in brief weekly check-ins and coaching sessions
- Help maintain a positive, professional first impression of our company We're Looking for
Someone Who Is:
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable speaking on the phone
- Curious and willing to learn (no ERP experience required)
- Organized and reliable with strong follow-through
- Able to communicate professionally in both verbal and written formats
- Interested in business, sales, marketing, or technology careers
- Self-motivated and able to work independently for a few hours at a time Preferred Experience
- Prior customer service, retail, or campus leadership experience
- Exposure to business coursework (marketing, finance, MIS, etc.)
- Interest in pursuing a career in sales, consulting, or technology Why Join Us?
