Business Development Representative (Hybrid)About Us & The Position Freitag Marketing is a fast-growing digital marketing agency helping local and regional businesses grow through SEO, paid media, social media, web design, and story-driven marketing. We are looking for a motivated, people-first Business Development Representative to help generate new business opportunities, respond to inbound leads, support outbound sales efforts, and represent Freitag Marketing in the New England business community. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys talking to people, building relationships, following up consistently, and helping prospects understand how Freitag Marketing can support their growth. Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Lead Development Respond quickly and professionally to inbound agency inquiries. Qualify prospective clients and help determine whether they are a good fit for Freitag Marketing. Assist with discovery calls and prospect conversations. Support outbound sales initiatives, including cold email, phone outreach, LinkedIn outreach, promotional mailers, and curated gift boxes. Follow up with leads consistently and help move opportunities through the sales pipeline. Maintain accurate notes and updates in the agency's CRM or project management system. Assist in preparing pitches, proposals, and sales materials in collaboration with the internal team. Support the sales process from first contact through close, then help ensure a smooth handoff to the assigned project manager. Networking & Relationship Building Represent Freitag Marketing at networking events, business events, and community gatherings throughout New England, primarily in NH, VT, and MA. Build and maintain relationships with referral partners, local business owners, and community contacts. Attend occasional early morning, evening, and weekend events as needed. Use in-person conversations and local relationships to create new business opportunities. Reliable personal vehicle required for regional travel to events and meetings. Prospect & Client Experience Help make a strong first impression with prospective clients through clear, friendly, and timely communication. Gather key information from prospects to help the internal team shape relevant marketing recommendations. Support a smooth transition from sales to onboarding once a new client signs on. Help new clients feel welcomed, informed, and confident before they are handed off to their dedicated project manager. Brand & Content Participate in Freitag Marketing's own marketing efforts, including appearing on camera for promotional or advertising content. Maintain an active, agency-focused LinkedIn presence. Post regularly about business development, marketing trends, company updates, local business insights, and Freitag's work in the community. Help represent the Freitag brand in a professional, approachable, and community-minded way. Requirements 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer service, account coordination, or another relationship-driven role. Strong communication skills, both in person and over the phone. Comfortable with outbound prospecting, follow-up, and starting conversations with new people. Friendly, confident, and naturally relationship-oriented. Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple conversations and priorities. Comfortable working in a hybrid environment. Reliable personal vehicle and willingness to travel regionally throughout NH, VT, and MA. Comfortable appearing on camera for agency marketing and advertising content. Must be located in New Hampshire or able to work within the EST time zone. Preferred Skills Basic familiarity with digital marketing services such as SEO, paid media, social media, and web design. Experience using CRM or project management tools such as HubSpot, ClickUp, or similar platforms. Some exposure to the New England business or professional community. Active LinkedIn presence or comfort creating professional content. Experience with cold outreach, networking, or referral-based sales.
Salary & Benefits Total Compensation Range:
