Job Description
Overview As a Brokerage/Carrier Sales Assistant, the primary responsibility is to ensure timely delivery of customer goods by securing suitable carriers at competitive rates. Success in this role depends on building and strengthening relationships with transportation providers and assisting them in maximizing fleet efficiency. This position combines elements of inside sales, account management, and operational support to meet customer shipping needs. In this fast-paced and energetic role, you will contribute daily to overall supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Develop new and expand existing carrier relationships through lead generation, cold calling, and referrals Build strong relationships with key contacts at trucking companies, including owner-operators, dispatchers, and drivers Identify issues and collaborate cross-functionally to determine and implement effective solutions Maintain ongoing communication with carriers to secure additional truck capacity and manage existing business agreements Provide exceptional service to carriers and customers Ensure shipment details are accurately communicated and tracked within internal systems Source and negotiate transportation rates This is a hybrid position, requiring three days in the office and two days working remotely each week.Required Qualifications:
