Job Description

Overview We're looking for a self-driven sales professional to grow the negotiated work side of our commercial painting business. This isn't a bid-chasing role — you'll be building relationships, identifying opportunities, and closing work directly with owners, property managers, and facility directors. We're hiring in both the Sioux City and Sioux Falls markets and are open to candidates based in either area. If you know how to open doors and follow through, this role is structured to reward you well for it. Responsibilities Prospect and develop new client relationships with building owners, property managers, facility directors, and other direct decision-makers Generate and close negotiated commercial painting contracts — not GC-dependent work Manage your pipeline from first contact through signed contract Coordinate with our project management team to ensure smooth handoffs and client satisfaction Stay active in your local market — networking events, site visits, follow-ups Track activity and opportunities and report regularly on pipeline status Requirements Proven outside sales experience, ideally in construction, commercial services, or a related trade industry Demonstrated ability to develop accounts independently and close negotiated work Strong communicator — comfortable with cold outreach, in-person meetings, and follow-through Self-managed and disciplined; this role has no ceiling but also no hand-holding Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Existing relationships with commercial property owners or facility managers in the Sioux City or Sioux Falls market Familiarity with commercial painting, coatings, or construction services Experience selling directly to end clients rather than through general contractors Compensation Commission-only with a generous commission structure — details discussed during the interview process. To support your ramp-up, we provide a non-recoverable draw for the first three months. Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS rate, and a phone stipend is included. Client entertainment expenses are covered on a pre-approved basis. You'll have exclusive territory in your market — no internal competition for the accounts you build.
