Outside Sales Reps are responsible for growing and maintaining customer relationships and business in the territory; selling fluid power products and services to existing and new customers. Work requires substantial product knowledge. Design and recommend components and systems, troubleshoots customer problems, and recommends solutions. Sales across all of the company's product lines of fluid power products is required and expected. Ozark is a leading a distributor of fluid power products and services and we offer our customers an extensive product line of dozens of leading manufacturers. Our products and services include fluid power components and systems, hose, fittings and connectors, custom hydraulic and pneumatic hose and tube assemblies, lubrication components and systems and related fluid power accessories and systems. We are headquartered in Little Rock, AR and with locations in Memphis, TN and Springdale, AR.

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to): Identifies and targets potential customers, services and maintains existing customers and improves customer relations in order to increase market penetration. Establishes professional customer relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, maintenance or other key personnel) and develops new accounts, maintains and increases current customer base. Analyzes and researches pertinent information in order to respond to customer inquiries regarding product features and performance, product application, product substitution and special application requests. Meeting and exceeding sales and margin plans Recommends products to customers, based upon customer's needs and interests Answers questions about products, prices, and quality, durability, and credit terms Meets with customers to demonstrate and explain features and benefits of products and services Prepares lists of prospective customers, call reports, and other reports as required Reviews sales records and current market information to determine value or sales potential of product Oversees delivery or installation of products on equipment Achieves high understanding of products, learn about new products Prospecting for and acquiring new business at all volume levels Determining and presenting opportunities for selling to existing customer base across multiple disciplines Identifying and resolving customer issues and concerns Responding to and following up on sales leads, referrals, and customer inquiries Qualifying and evaluating sales leads for optimal benefit to the territory Organizing and prioritizing responsibilities for best possible territory coverage Supporting branch and corporate initiatives in the areas of sales, marketing, and training Maintaining weekly sales and expense reports All other duties and special projects as assigned Skills and Experience for this position include (but are not limited to): Industrial sales experience for fluid power products Results-oriented and motivated sales professional Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently Strong work ethic and ability to take care of the customer's needs Strong time and project management skills and multi-tasking capability Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
