This is a commission-based, independent contractor opportunity designed for experienced professionals who are comfortable working with company-provided leads, generating their own opportunities, and managing the entire sales process from consultation through close. We are looking for a motivated, experienced individual who is excited about joining a local, growing company and helping build a strong presence in the Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland markets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who prefers a flexible, entrepreneurial environment and is looking to step away from a traditional corporate setting. Position Overview As an Independent Sales & Design Consultant, you will be responsible for working company-provided leads, developing your own opportunities, meeting with clients, designing custom storage solutions, and closing sales. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to grow with a family-owned business where your contributions directly impact the company's success. Responsibilities Work company-provided leads and generate your own through networking, referrals, and relationship building Conduct in-home consultations with prospective clients Measure spaces and design custom closet and storage solutions Present designs and pricing to clients Close sales and manage client expectations Communicate project details with the team for ordering and installation Provide excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle What We Provide Company-generated leads (as available) Installation and project fulfillment Product sourcing and ordering Marketing materials and portfolio photos Brand support and company resources Flexible scheduling and autonomy Support from a local, family-owned business Ideal Candidate Prior experience in custom closets, cabinetry, interior design, home organization, or related field preferred Strong sales and relationship-building skills Self-motivated and comfortable generating your own business Professional, organized, and customer-focused Comfortable conducting in-home consultations Reliable transportation required Why Join Closet Shelving Co.
