This position is eligible for telecommuting after a successful training period. Certain criteria must be met to retain telecommuting status. The employee reports to the Inside Sales Manager.Responsibilities:
Respond to customer inquiries pertaining to products, services, prices, availability, and/or order status via email, phone, and website Assist and advise customers in the selection of the appropriate product(s) and/or service(s) based upon the customer's requirements Engage vendors to procure materials and expedite shipments Prepare quotations, process orders and manage existing orders on the online platform first and foremost and internal business systems only when necessary Work with all other departments to coordinate and assure customer requirements, and expectations are fulfilled, and conflicts are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer Support, interact, and work in tandem with members of the outside sales team to build and retain customer relations Make pricing decisions on demand when communicating with customers; responsible for communicating with pricing teams to maintain accurate information within each customer account in the business system Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by management and as listed inSOP Requirements:
4-year degree or equivalent work experience preferred Previous experience in fluid power, industrial, or electrical distribution preferred Knowledge of fluid power and/or automation and/or motion control products is strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts Previous success in inside sales and/or experience in a technical support role is preferred Experience in purchasing manufacturing or technical products is a plus Excellent telephone personality with proven ability to maintain customer relationships ERP, Epicor P21 and B2B experience is preferred Highly proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Capable of handling multiple high-pressure tasks Ability to work in a fast-paced and self-directed environment Some occasional travel may be required for customer visits and training purposesBenefits:
